Connect your agent.

When your own Claude or Gemini is connected to Human Shaped, it knows which cohort you are in, what this week asks of you, when the next session is, who is in your group, and what you have shared, so the help it gives starts from your own work. It reads as you, it can only read, and what it says stays with you unless you choose to share it.

Building on your own, outside any cohort? Connecting works the same way. Your agent reads your own app and your marks on the stages instead of a cohort's week.

The address your agent needs.

Every way of connecting starts from this one address. Your agent will open a page on humanshaped.org where you sign in with GitHub and see exactly what it can read before you allow it.

Claude, in the app or on the web.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose "+ Add," and then "Add custom connector." Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, including the free one, which allows one.
  2. Name it Human Shaped, paste the address above, and add it.
  3. Choose Connect. Claude opens humanshaped.org, where you sign in with GitHub and choose "Allow it to read."
  4. In a new conversation, ask: "What is this week's challenge in my Human Shaped cohort?"

A connector added in Claude is also there in Claude Code when you are signed in to the same account.

Claude Code.

Ask Claude Code to do it for you, in your own words or in these:

Please add the Human Shaped MCP server for my user, not this project, with: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user humanshaped https://bifrieqzkihuxfzttgvd.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp

  1. Then type /mcp, choose humanshaped, and sign in on the page it opens.
  2. Try the prompt it brings with it: /humanshaped:review_this_week asks your agent for a human-shaped review, written to a file and left for you to decide about. On your own, outside a cohort, /humanshaped:review_my_own_work does the same from your own app and your marks on the stages.

Gemini CLI.

Ask Gemini to add it for your user. The -s user part matters: without it, Gemini saves the setting inside your app's repository, which is public.

Please add the Human Shaped MCP server for my user, not this project, with: gemini mcp add --transport http -s user humanshaped https://bifrieqzkihuxfzttgvd.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp

  1. Then type /mcp auth humanshaped and sign in on the page it opens.

What it can and cannot do.

It can read your cohorts, this week's challenge and stages, the next session's agenda and Meet link, your group's GitHub names and apps, your own app (in a cohort or on your own), your own marks on the stages, what you have shared and the feedback on it, and the method itself from the Universal App Template. It cannot share, give feedback, join or leave anything, or see anyone's email address, and Human Shaped's database refuses those for any agent, whatever it asks.

Its feedback is labeled as coming from an AI, it never grades, and it never stands in for your leader. When it says something worth your cohort's time, you share it yourself, on your cohort page.
